Indigo Pier sits on the quiet side of the town centre: a small collection of self-contained residences and top-floor penthouses, built for people who want room to spread out and a door they can close behind them.
Lake Wakatipu is two minutes’ walk. The restaurants and the gondola are five. Our own casino floor is one flight down — so the evening can end however you feel like ending it.
Every residence is fully self-contained: a proper kitchen with a full-size oven and knives worth using, and an open-plan living room that seats everyone at once rather than in shifts.
Each one has its own laundry, which is the difference between a week of skiing and a suitcase of wet gear. Cots and rollaway beds cost nothing.
The Indigo Circle is how we keep our regulars close. Members get our lowest nightly rate, first refusal on the penthouses in peak weeks, and a late checkout whenever the floor allows one.
There are no tiers to climb and no points to chase. You call, we recognise the number, you pay less.
You do not have to leave the building to find a table. Our casino occupies the ground floor of the hotel — forty machines, six live tables and a bar that keeps its own hours — licensed and operated under the Gambling Act 2003 and supervised by the Department of Internal Affairs.
It is a small room by design. Dealers who know regulars by name, blackjack and roulette running from midday, baccarat and Texas Hold’em from six, and a floor host who will find you a seat rather than a queue.
OpenMidday to 3am, seven days. Tables from midday, poker from 6pm.
EntryFree. Strictly 20 years and over — photo ID at the door, every night, for everyone.
On the floorBlackjack, roulette, baccarat, three-card poker, Texas Hold’em and 40 gaming machines.
DressSmart casual. No high-visibility workwear, no gang insignia, no bare feet.
Gambling can be harmful. Set a limit before you sit down and stop when you reach it. Free, confidential help is available on the Gambling Helpline, 0800 654 655, 24 hours a day. Self-exclusion can be arranged at the door in a few minutes and takes effect immediately. R20.

Indigo Pier
Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 August 2026
Indigo Pier, 1 Beetham Street, Queenstown, New Zealand, operates indigopier.com and the accommodation and casino businesses described on it. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We handle personal information under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, and — where the information relates to our gaming floor — under the Gambling Act 2003 and the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009.
Who is responsible for your information
Indigo Pier is the agency responsible for the personal information described here. Our privacy officer can be reached by phone on +64 3 441 0310, by email at [email protected], or by post at 1 Beetham Street, Queenstown 9300, New Zealand.
What we collect
Reservation details. Your name, phone number, email address, postal address, arrival and departure dates, the residence or penthouse you booked, the number of guests, and any request you make of us — a cot, a late checkout, a dietary note.
Payment details. Card details are captured by our payment provider and are not stored on our own systems. We keep the transaction reference, amount and date.
Identity information. On arrival, and at the casino entrance, we sight photographic identification. For casino entry we record that a check was made and its result. Where the law requires customer due diligence, we retain a copy of the document and the details it carries.
Casino floor information. Play records for table games and gaming machines where you use a membership card, any exclusion order or host responsibility interaction that concerns you, and the closed-circuit television footage described below.
Website information. Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you looked at and the time you spent on them. What is collected depends on the cookie choice you made — see our Cookie Policy.
Correspondence. Calls to the hotel may be recorded for training and dispute resolution; we tell you at the start of the call when they are.
Why we hold it
To take, confirm, change and honour your reservation, and to give you the stay you asked for.
To take payment and to resolve billing disputes.
To meet our obligations as a licensed casino operator: age verification, host responsibility, exclusion orders, and reporting to the Department of Internal Affairs.
To meet our anti-money laundering obligations, including customer due diligence and suspicious activity reporting.
To protect guests, staff and property, and to investigate incidents.
To send you offers about Indigo Pier — but only where you have asked us to, and only until you tell us to stop.
Closed-circuit television
Cameras operate continuously in the lobby, corridors, car park and across the whole of the casino floor. Casino surveillance is a licence condition, not a choice. Footage is held for 31 days and then overwritten, unless it has been retained for an investigation, a dispute, an insurance claim, or at the request of the New Zealand Police or the Department of Internal Affairs. There are no cameras inside guest residences or bathrooms.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We disclose it only to:
our payment processor and our banks, to take and reconcile payments;
our reservation and property management software providers, who host data on our behalf under contract;
the Department of Internal Affairs, the Gambling Commission, the New Zealand Police, the Financial Intelligence Unit and Inland Revenue, where the law requires or authorises it;
our professional advisers, where they need it to advise us;
a purchaser, if the business is sold, subject to the same protections.
Some of our providers store data outside New Zealand, including in Australia and the European Union. We only use providers subject to comparable privacy safeguards.

Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct anything that is wrong. Write to our privacy officer at the address above. We will respond within 20 working days. There is no charge for a routine request. If we decline a request, we will tell you why, and tell you that you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner — privacy.org.nz, 0800 803 909.
Marketing
We only send marketing to people who asked for it. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and one phone call to the front desk will take you off the list permanently. Withdrawing consent does not affect a booking you already hold.
Keeping it safe
Access to guest and gaming records is restricted to staff who need it for their role, and is logged. Data in transit is encrypted. Surveillance recordings are held in a secured room with independent access control, as our licence requires. If a privacy breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as the Act requires.
Children
The casino floor is restricted to people aged 20 and over, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age in connection with gaming. Children are welcome as accommodation guests; the details we hold about them are limited to what a booking needs.
Changes
We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes are also notified to guests holding a live reservation.

Cookie Policy
Last updated 30 August 2026
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep. This page sets out every cookie indigopier.com uses, what each one does, and how to change your mind about them.
Short version. We run no advertising cookies, no analytics accounts and no third-party trackers of any kind. The only cookies this site can set are the two listed under “strictly necessary” below, plus two optional ones that remember your language and whether you have already seen our members panel. Nothing here profiles you, and nothing is shared with an advertising network.
Strictly necessary cookies
These make the site work and cannot be switched off. They store no information that identifies you personally.
Name

ip_consent

Preference cookies (optional)
Set only if you choose “Accept all”. They remember choices you made so the site behaves the way you left it.

Analytics and advertising cookies
None. This site carries no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel and no social media tracker. We do not measure you, and we do not let anyone else measure you here.
Your three choices
Accept all — the necessary cookies plus the two preference cookies above.
Accept only necessary — the two strictly necessary cookies and nothing else. The site works normally; it just forgets your language between visits.
Reject and leave the site — nothing optional is stored, anything optional already stored is cleared, and your browser is taken away from indigopier.com. We cannot serve the site without the two strictly necessary cookies, so this is the honest option to offer rather than pretending otherwise.
You can reopen the choice at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies from its settings menu — usually under Privacy, Security or Site data. Blocking all cookies will stop parts of this site from working. Plain-language instructions for each browser are kept at aboutcookies.org.
Cookies and the casino
The gaming floor is a physical venue. No wagering happens on this website, no gaming account is created here, and no cookie on this site records anything about play. Records generated on the casino floor are covered by our Privacy Policy, not by this one.
Indigo Pier uses two cookies to keep this site working, and two optional ones to remember your language and preferences. There is no analytics and no advertising tracking here at all. Read the Cookie Policy or the Privacy Policy.
